Well back from our first show of the season "The Classic" with Baylee. He wasn't having the best of days but came home with a ribbon. Such a good boy. Appart from that has been very quiet here with a couple of horses in light work and another show this weekend.

It's been a bit quiet here at Carluke, but it has been wonderful hearing the lovely New from Deb and Robbie. As can been seen they are progressing so well under saddle and Deb sounds like she is having a blast. I couldn't be happier with Robbies home.
We look forward to our first show this season in January which will be "The Classic" with C. Bay-Ali which will be fun to have bugger out again now we have a car that can get us around!! Yay!! So stay tuned and have a lovely Christmas everyone :D

Congratulations to the lovely Deb Fratantaro on the purchase of our lovely Carluke Aliya's Amir (Robbie Williams to his friends). It has been my absolute pleasure dealing with Deb and I can tell Robbie will have the best of homes imaginable. I can hardly wait to hear all their new adventures together.

Not much news from Carluke at the moment.
We are pretty much under mud from the constant rain South Gippsland.
We are however now looking for a lovely new home for our beautiful Caspa (pictured left) or Carluke Eva-After refer to the mare page.

We finished this show season with highs and lows.
Although we had planned to bring Nevita out under saddle at Korumburra Ag, due to my health and Nevitas preperation, we were unable to complete. But will look forward instead to next show season.
We took Bay-Ali out instead, for his only appereance of the season. Much to my delight and the gentle handling of Debbie from Cheveaux Park Arabians, Bay-Ali went Supreme purebred. Very unexpected as he had no preperation. We were lucky enough to have a huge purebred contigent turn up which was thrilling for us (the organiser/sponsors) to see. Hopefully, we will have some pictures soon.
Smokey is now broken in and has lived upto all his promise so far. He looks like he will be an exceptional show horse under saddle or dressage horse. Fingers crossed all continues as planned.
It also looks like we will hear the pitty patter, of little horse hooves come december this year. The Beautiful Tia-Aliya (Bay-Ali's mum) has been bred to the lovely Bremervale Invincible. So far appears to be well.

We took Nevita to Catani Agricultural Show on the 26th of January and enjoyed her day out and came home with a ribbon from every class. 1st classic head 2nd classic trot and 3 led purebred mare so a great day, with heaps of horses and was great to see so many arab out and about.
The saturday before we farewelled for a short time Young Smokey. He has gone off to the breakers whilst I work a few saddle horses at home. We caught up with him 2 weeks on and he is working so well and learning very fast and enjoying something to do (instead of harrassing his paddock mates to play). So we can't wait to catch up with him again next weekend.
Rose Aliya's foal by Nasq Ace of Swords is on the front news page . His a lovely strapping young man and Cindy is very happy with him. So are we that everything has worked out so well.
Next show is in a fortnights time. Korumburra Ag.

Well an new year and a new start for the horses. Smokey has headed to the breakers and hope to hear how well he is doing.
Nevita went to her first show Wonthaggi Agricultural show and came home with Reserve Champ and we look forward to some excitng new soon regarding another mare fingers crossed.
It's also very exciting that the lovely Nihal Rose of Aliya foaled a lovely little Chestnut colt for Cindy and it's exactly what she wanted so it will awesome to hear how they are progressing - Pictures coming soon.

Well Christmas is almost on top of us again.
Sadly due to illness, (people not horses) we have been unable to compete or work any of the horses so far this show season (not that I think they mind greatly). But we look forward to an exciting 2011 and being able to work the horses again in the near future.
We also look forward to hearing the results of the shows that "Carluke" are sponsoring in the New Year.
As we believe that promoting and exhibiting our gentle friends to a broad community base, that often do not have the chance of experiencing first hand how intelligent and easy going our horses are. We are proud to continue to sponsor the Arabian horse rings at Korumburra shows and this year the Arabian ring at the Bass Coast Agricultural Show (Wonthaggi)
We would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a happy and safe New Year.

Its been a very busy half year in Ruby, with several saddle horses in work. We picked up a new mare in January, who we have high hopes for and look forward to her first shows later this year. A huge thanks to Helen Trcek for making Nevita available and also to Cheryl Clegg and Phil who came to our rescue. A special mention must also go to the lovely Debbie Yeo who held my hand through the ordeal :D thanks Deb.
Our last show of the year was Korumburra Ag which was a lovely day out. It was great to see so many Arabs in attendance. Baylee was the only boy and took home Champion Stallion and Caspa under the skillful guidance of my sister brought home Reserve Champion Mare. Congrats and thanks to all that were there it was a great day.
Although we are still in the depths of winter. We eagerly await the arrival of August as Baylee's second foal is due for Deb Yeo. Fingers crossed everything runs to plan and we see the arrival of a Baylee daughter.
